Looking into Music, from where it all has come? let’s reflect on some of the latest trends starting with some of the Music industry’s history.

In one strand of Beatles lore, it was Ringo Starr who came up with the phrase ‘eight days a week’: an offhand joke about a working schedule so frantic it seemed to crush time. And, while you watch this celebratory documentary from Ron Howard, (Frost/Nixon, Rush), which focuses on the band’s notoriously hectic touring period, you feel Music history rushing by at warp speed.

THE Beatles Documentary “Eight Days a Week” by Ron  Howard

Howard’s film follows the band from Ringo’s arrival in 1962 to the group’s final paid concert in 1966. So, this two hour movie includes the shenanigans of the four Beetles and their many lifetimes of Musical performance.

“We were force-grown, like rhubarb,” John Lennon  observed in one of his many well-crafted quips. It’s a line that resonates with the many steps Howard depicts the band taking. That is all the way to the recording of their transformative 1967 album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. The film depicts the band members exhilarating rush through the world of show-business that helped propel them on their rise to fame.

Howard’s film is a snapshot: its commentary insiteful and revealing. It documents the many ways the band was able to attract the amazing over-the-top attention that overwhelmed the entertainment industry. They made a large impact on society and Musical culture !
Howard assembled the film from archive concert footage and interviews – some of it impressively restored. There are conversations with a variety of informative celebrities, as well as both Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney. This film is a view of the stars’
Musical adventures. Howard worked with teams of researchers putting the movie together. he did a splendid job.

The movie became a largely US-centric film, with some effort to include the British influence. The movie’s scripts owe a debt to the Beatles’ frenetic media generated personas. it’s clear that anyone watching this would be excited to hear it.

        FROM MUSIC HISTORY

Other interviews captured the breadth of the band’s influence on the world. One of the 1965 quotes about the concert was from movie fan, Sigourney Weaver. The actress reminisced about a 1965 concert at the Hollywood Bowl. She described an over-the-top contemporary news episode, that in old 16mm footage, she was unmistakably placed at the scene as a delighted,12-year-old screaming fan.

Whoopi Goldberg, who was at that famous 1965 Shea Stadium gig, says she “never thought of them as white guys,” and described them as “colorless”. This one of a few trains of thought you may have wished Howard had employed, as he master-minded the film’s creation.

There were epoch-defining events, like the Kennedy assassination, that provided signposts for this historical film. Various other clues accompanied the documentary, Ron Howard understood that the band was the historical context. They made history !

Live Beetle appearances, not just the concerts themselves, were in the form of tantalizing press conferences. In addition to the pithy comments by the artists themselves, who defined the era with precision, the fans energetically typified the era’s Beetle-mania.

Contemporary Jazz is an important designation of the permutations of popular, mainstream jazz of the 1980s and ’90s. While those years were certainly not devoid of complex, cerebral jazz recordings, music referred to as contemporary jazz does not usually share those sensibilities. Nor is the term generally used to describe music centered around hard bop, or the avant-garde. Instead, instrumental contemporary jazz is usually informed by some combination of  a) fusion, often slickly produced, with an emphasis on rock and funk rhythms; b) pop-jazz, with its almost exclusive concentration on memorable melodies; c) smooth jazz, with its primary goal of creating pleasant, mellow, melodic textures; and d) crossover jazz/contemporary funk, with their blend of polished production and R&B influences. Many contemporary jazz artists use improvisation and challenging experimentation. By and large, most instrumentalists emphasize shiny production, melody, and accessibility. In the realm of vocal jazz, artists may possess an improvisational flair. In most cases, their recordings attempt to evoke an aura of stylish sophistication, sometimes drawing upon pop and R&B in addition to jazz.

GROVER WASHINGTON

AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF JAZZ IN AMERICA: ‘THE ROLE OF WOMEN ARTISTS’.

Although Betty CarterElla FitzgeraldAdelaide HallBillie HolidayAbbey LincolnAnita O’DayDinah Washington, and Ethel Waters were recognized for their vocal talent, women received less recognition for their accomplishments as bandleaders, composers, and instrumentalists. This group includes pianist Lil Hardin Armstrong and songwriters Irene Higginbotham and Dorothy Fields. Women began playing instruments in jazz in the early 1920s, drawing particular recognition on piano.[28] Popular musicians of the time were Lovie AustinSweet Emma BarrettJeanette KimballBillie PierceMary Lou Williams

When male jazz musicians were drafted during World War II, many all-female bands took over.[28] The International Sweethearts of Rhythm, which was founded in 1937, was a popular band that became the first all-female integrated band in the U.S. and the first to travel with the USO, touring Europe in 1945. Women were members of the big bands of Woody Herman and Gerald Wilson. From the 1950s onwards many women jazz instrumentalists became prominent, some sustaining lengthy careers. Over the decades, some of the most distinctive improvisers, composers and bandleaders in jazz have been women.[29]

There are so many choices available among the numerous genres of music in America.
